The third “Let’s Help Deb!” fundraising event is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Newmarket Creativity Center.

Half the proceeds from the event will help Greenland artist and former dancer Deborah Homer O’Leary cover the mounting costs of her cancer treatments, and the other half will help keep the Newmarket Creativity Center running. O’Leary is a metal sculptor, jewelry designer and mobile maker who used to teach dance at the center.

The reception will feature an art show, a silent auction with framed artworks, jewelry and gift certificates available for purchase by bid, and music by Ross “The Flute Guy” Bachelder, with Sherry Stromski accompanying on piano. The multi-media local art exhibit will remain on display at the center through Oct. 3
