Cookbook chat at Dover Public Librar
Marilynn Carter will share recipes from her first cookbook, “No Fret Cooking,” at Dover Public Library on Monday, July 23 at 7 p.m.
Her husband, jazz guitarist Steve Carter, will also be there to perform some music from the album that accompanies the book. In the book and CDs, food and music are paired for a culinary experience for the spirit and body.
There are 22 original songs on two CDs included with the cookbook. “Music to Cook By” and “Music to Dine By” accompany the recipes, including such tunes as “Hold the Bacon,” “The Great Asparagus Caper” and “Blueberry Blues.”
In addition to being a long-time cook, the author works locally as a holistic health practitioner, so there is a focus on healthy recipes that incorporate fresh ingredients. The cookbook is designed to be worry-free and allow for experimentation.
Signed copies of “No Fret Cooking” will be available for purchase at the library at 73 Locust St., Dover. For more information, visit www.nofretcooking.com.
