Guitarist and singer Cal Powers has spent months putting together an album with a rotating cast of more than 40 local musicians. They’ll all celebrate the CD release with a concert and party at the Dover Brick House on Saturday, July 28.

Powers, a member of former Seacoast rock band Wooden Igloo, has completed his first musical project in about 15 years. He traveled around the region as he recruited an all-star ensemble of local instrumentalists and singers from the last two decades. The finished CD is titled “Get a Room (The Seacoast Rocks).” Powers appears on every track on guitar and vocals, but the rest of the lineup shifts throughout.

Many participating musicians will take the stage at the Brick House, offering a concert that displays the richness and diversity of the local music scene. The event begins at 9 p.m. at 2 Orchard St., Dover, 603-749-3838. Tickets are $10.
