The Eighth annual Seacoast Concert for a Cure will once again raise funds and awareness for local cancer support groups. Local bands Truffle and Bliss will headline this year’s festival on Thursday, Aug. 2, at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye.

Proceeds from the show will benefit On Belay, which provides adventure-based programs for youths who have had a family member with cancer, and BreastCancerStories.org, a Portsmouth nonprofit that provides community-based programs to promote wellness for local breast cancer patients.

The final show in the Seacoast Science Center’s Music-by-the-Sea concert series, the outdoor event begins at 5 p.m. at 570 Ocean Blvd., Rye, 603-436-8043. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 day of show ($1 for children ages 4 to 12). Visit www.seacoastconcertforacure.com.
