Foreclosure deeds down
Â
New Hampshire recorded 331 foreclosure deeds in June, down 6 percent from the previous month and 3 percent from June 2011, according to the latest numbers from the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority.
The total number of foreclosure deeds recorded in the state this year through June is about 3 percent below the same period in 2011 and 7 percent below the same period in 2010. Barring a disruption in the national economic recovery, foreclosures are likely to continue declining, according to New Hampshire Housing.
Improvement in the housing market will likely be slow, however, as foreclosed and distressed properties entering the market will continue to weigh on home sales and prices. —MK
